Annapurna seems as simple as walking up a mountain, but there is a depth to the experience and interactions beyond that first step.

Like chess,
except
chess is boring and
this is awesome!

"I think it's a quite remarkable game for how fresh, different, and unique it is, for the strong personality it has. I am in love with this one!"

"It has great table appeal that meshes the theme with the tile layout into a triangular mountain, where one's options become more scarce as you ascend. Fun!"

Becca Horovitz took the idea of cultural sensitivity very seriously. She incorporated virtually every suggestion that was offered and the result is that her depiction of the Hindu goddess Annapurna is both accurate and respectful. I very much like that she is using the game to share information about the religion and culture of the area with gamers who might not be familiar with either. Well done!
